Sessions judge gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA: An additional session judge, his driver and a guard were shot dead in the Government Officers Residence (GOR) colony here on Thursday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 30 August, 2012.

Zulfiqar Naqvi, 41, along with his driver and a guard, had been on his way to the session court when unidentified men riding on a motorcycle opened fire with automatic weapons on his car at around 8:15am, killing the three on the spot, police said. The assailants fled the scene, leaving their victims behind in a pool of blood.

“We are investigating the cold-blooded murder of the session judge and… gathering evidence,” a senior police official told Dispatch News Desk (DND). The Tahafuz-e-Azadari Council announced three days’ mourning over the incident.
