Senior medical officer killed in Khuzdar

QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen killed a senior medical officer of the Khuzdar Civil Hospital near the Civil Colony area of Khuzdar town on Monday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 08 October, 2012.

According to police, a senior medical officer, Dr Dawood Aziz Jan, was on his way to the Khuzdar Civil Hospital from his house when armed assailants riding a motorbike opened fire on him and fled. As a result of firing, he received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, a powerful motorcycle bomb exploded on the Double Road in the provincial capital on Monday, leaving at least 16 people injured, including four policemen.
