KARACHI: Police and rangers have arrested over 50 accused during on ongoing-targeted operation in different parts of metropolis on Monday.

Police arrested a member of Rahat Hayat Gang, Ghazanfar, during raid in Metroville area under allegations of money extortions and hand grenade attacks on Ismaili Community.

A woman accused Fauzia and his partner Akram were arrested from Saeedabad for being involved in armed robberies and many case of money extortions.

According to the DIG of West, four members of a dangerous gang were taken into custody during a raid in Mochko area. These gangsters used to kill those people, who fail to pay extortion money, added the DIG.

Orangi Town police arrested three accused involved in money extortion and street crimes while other police parties held 17 suspects from Sohrab Goth, and Bismillah Market.

At the other side, rangers continued targeted operation in different parts of the metropolis including North Karachi, Jodia Bazar, Green town, Orangi Town, FC Area, Landhi, Asoo Goth, Ramsawamy, and Parsi Gate in Mehmoodabad and captured 27 accused with arms and ammunition from those areas.
