LAHORE: Lahore police on Tuesday released the sketch of a man seen in CCTV footage dropping the girl inside the premises of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

One person, Zafar Iqbal, who is said to have close resemblance with the CCTV man, is already in police custody. He was arrested from Maghulpura on Sunday.

According to reports, police prepared the sketch with the help of record of close-circuit cameras.

Police also took the arrested suspect to hospital for identification parade.  But the rape victim was not yet ready for the process due to her mental condition.

Blood spots were found on suspect’s clothes, which were forwarded for DNA tests, according to police sources.

Forensic experts say that key evidence, including girl’s dress, has already  been wasted due to negligence of medical staff.
