LAHORE, Pakistan: Four terrorists belonging to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed when the law enforcement agencies on Monday morning conducted an operation in Kala Shah Kaku, a town in Sheikhupura district.
Talking to media, the Punjab Home Minister Shujah Khanzada while appreciating the successful operation told that terrorists had planned a major attack for destruction at a large scale.
The Provincial Home Minister said that after receiving a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the Ferozewala house situated on Kala Shah Kaku Road, the security personnel carried out a raid there.
Subsequently, terrorists opened fire on security forces but when the later retaliated, three of the terrorists were killed while one of them blew himself up. Two other terrorists were also injured during the exchange of fire.
Shujah Khanzada said that suicide jackets, ammunition, rocket launcher and maps were discovered from the hideout of the terrorists.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also appreciated the successful operation conducted by the law enforcement agencies against terrorists in Kala Shah Kaku.
In a statement in Lahore, he praised the officers and jawans who took part in the successful operation.
The Chief Minister said that that the law enforcing agencies bravely and courageously failed the evil designs of the terrorist. He said that the whole nation is proud of brave law enforcement agencies.
