ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to formulate such a security policy which envisages an effective mechanism for elimination of terrorism.
The premier visited the Interior Ministry in Islamabad on Tuesday where he was briefed about the outline of new security policy.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said the state would ensure the security of the citizens and would employ all possible measures for the purpose.
The Prime Minister said that consultations with the provinces were imperative to ensure that the issue of terrorism was tackled effectively.
He said terrorism was not confined to one area and collective efforts were required for maintenance of peace in the country.
Moreover, he said security institutions should have enhanced cooperation with the intelligence agencies to check the terrorist incidents.
