Peshawar car bombing leaves 15 dead

PESHAWAR: At least fifteen people were killed and over 60 others sustained injuries when a car bomb ripped through the Kohat Bus Terminal near the Wakho Pul here on Thursday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Assistant Inspector General of the bomb disposal unit Shafqat Malik said around 40 kilograms of explosives packed with ball bearings had been planted in a white car parked inside the stand.

The explosion took place around 11:05am when a large number of people were present at the terminal, arriving and leaving for the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as the tribal areas of North and South Waziristan, Kurram and Orakzai agencies, he said.
