ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister of State Imtiaz Safdar Warraich told the Senate on Tuesday that Pakistan has suffered a loss of $69 billion in the war against terror and has not received any funding through the Coalition Support Fund (CSF), Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

In reply to questions during question hour, the minister of state said that 18 cases of terrorism were registered in Islamabad, and 24 registered cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from March 2008 to 2011. He informed that there were 68 cases of terrorism reported in Sindh, 2059 in Balochistan and 12 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Warraich said that in cases of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the legal heirs of the victims of terror acts have been awarded a total of Rs 108 million, while Rs 74.28 million have been awarded to the heirs of the deceased and the victims of terrorism in the federal capital city of Islamabad.

The minister further said that the war on terror in Gilgit-Baltistan had incurred losses worth Rs 1 billion.
