ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said on Monday that the military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against the militants in North Waziristan tribal region will continue till the elimination of terrorism.

In his address to participants of security and war course at the National Defense University in Islamabad on Monday, the army chief emphasized that operation is aimed to eliminate all terrorists and their sanctuaries in North Waziristan and get rid of the menace of terrorism.

The army chief also briefed the participants regarding the ongoing operation in the North Waziristan tribal region.

Earlier on arrival at the National Defence University, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal, the President National Defence University.
