BAGHDAD: Unspecified number of militants armed with mortar rounds and automatic weapons stormed a police station outside the northern city of Mosul early on Wednesday, killing nine policemen, police said.
Police said that the attack, which took place at around 7:30 am (0430 GMT) Wednesday, triggered a shootout that left nine policemen dead and two injured.
