Militants storm DPO office in DI Khan, eight killed

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Militants carried out an attack on a suicide mission at the offices of the District Police Officer (DPO) in Dera Ismail Khan city on Saturday killing a policeman and three civilians, four suicide bombers were also destined to death, officials told Dispatch News Desk (DND).

In the exchange of fire at the compound of the DPO’s offices, eight persons, including seven policemen, were injured. “Four suicide bombers wearing jackets filled with explosives and carrying hand grenades and automatic rifles entered the compound of the DPO offices but were immediately engaged by the cops,” Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Dera Ismail Khan, Syed Imtiaz Shah, told Dispatch News Desk (DND).
