Islamabad: Massive terrorist attack on Public Security Bureau office building in Xinjiang province, 19 killed. Muslim Uighurs allegedly blown Public Security Bureau office building in Yecheng Kashi Xinjiang province China. Chinese media says 13 dead and all are terrorists while unconfirmed reports say 19 dead. Information from the area is difficult to verify independently as foreign and local journalists are subject to heavy restrictions.
There are more conflicting reports as authorities claimed they killed terrorists but gave no information that how many died in suicidal attack and how many were inside vehicle that was hit with the building.
It may be mentioned that Dispatch News Desk (DND) feared such attacks in its news published on June 12 as Chinese terrorists were reportedly passing borders from pakistan and entering eastern china after massive attack of Pakistan Army against terrorists in tribal areas. The attackers drove a car into the station and set off explosives on Saturday morning, the local government said on its website.
Authorities said that 3 policemen suffered minor injuries but no civilians were hurt. However independent sources indicate massive damage to entire area. The Chinese authorities blame Muslim Uighurs from Xinjiang for an increasing number of attacks in the province.
“On the morning of 21 June, a group of thugs drove a car into a police building in Yecheng County, Kashgar province and detonated explosives,” said official website.
Independent reports indicate complete destruction of the area and killing of a number of police officials.
