MASHKEY: A landmine blast killed two army soldiers and injured three others at Mashkey tehsil of Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, security sources said.

The sources said that an army convoy was heading to Mangori area from Mashkey tehsil of earthquake-affected province when it was targeted through a landmine in a remote area near Mashkey.

Hundreds of Pak Army soldiers are taking part in relief and rescue operation in Awaran and Gwadar districts where over 400 people have been killed and thousands are homeless.

Army troops and government relief teams have come under several attacks by local insurgent groups since a powerful earthquake hit in Balochistan on September 24.
