Khyber-2: 12 militants including key commanders killed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The aerial strikes left at least 12 militants including some key commanders killed when conducted as a part of the Khyber-2 operation in the tribal region on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the air strikes were carried out by fighter jets in the early hours of Tuesday near the Pak-Afghan border.

The ISPR said that those killed in the aerial strikes also included some important militant commanders.

The military offensive against joint forces of the outlawed Lashkar-i-Islam (LI), Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaatul Ahrar continues in Khyber agency, one of Pakistan’s seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border.
