Key Jundullah militant arrested from Quetta

QUETTA, Pakistan: An important militant affiliated with the proscribed terror group Jundullah was arrested by the security forces from Quetta on Saturday morning.

The security sources said that the militant Abdul Salam Regi was arrested during a raid carried out by the security forces in Lak Pass area of the Balochistan’s capital.

Following his arrest, the security forces shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

The sources said that Abdul Salam Regi was planning to launch suicide attacks in Balochistan and Iran.

467 terror suspects arrested from KPK

Separately, 467 terrorist suspects were arrested from different cities of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The sources said that a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also seized from the possession of suspects.

A total of 19,272 suspected people have been arrested by the law enforcement agencies in 19,789 operations conducted across the country including in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a report on the implementation of anti-terror national action plan (NAP) issued on February 24.
