PakistanKarachi sit-ins to continue at all places against Quetta tragedy

KARACHI: Shia Muslims would continue their sit-ins staged at 27 places in the metropolis to express solidarity with the heirs of martyrs of Hazara Town Quetta Tragedy who demand army operation against the terrorists, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) announced on Tuesday.

At least 90 people including women and children belonging to the Hazara community lost their lives when on Saturday a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden water tanker vehicle a packed bazaar near Hazara town, an area dominated by Shias on the outskirts of Quetta.

General Secretary MWM Karachi Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi set aside the reports that sit-ins in different city areas will be brought to an end, saying, “The reports that sit-ins are being merged in the large sit-ins being held at Ancholi, Malir and Numaish Chowrangi.”

These sit-ins will continue until the demands of Quetta’s Hazara community are fulfilled, he added.
