JIT working on Hamid Mir case will investigate all possibilities including involvement of Geo and Jang in this incident

Islamabad: Joint Investigation Team (JIT) conducting investigation in the case of attack on leading anchorperson of Geo Hamid Mir will probe all possibilities and suspect elements. “Attack on Hamid Mir: JIT will investigate all possibilities including involvement of Jang Group”, informed sources. It may be remembered that First Information Report (FIR) of this case is yet to be registered. Police claim that they have not received any application for the registration of the case by the family as well as from  organisation.

According to sources list of possibilities also include the involvement of administration of Geo and Jang group in attacking its staffer as this media House has bitter relations with prime intelligence agency of Pakistan –the ISI.

Other possibilities include involvement of extremists groups including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) that was allegedly involved in attack on anchorperson Raza Rumi in Lahore. Involvement of terrorists groups working in Baluchistan, involvement of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), involvement of foreign intelligence agencies are on the list.

Sources say that there are many possibilities and JIT will probe all because it is a high profile incident that has strong impact of Pakistani society. “Nothing is clear but so many possibilities are here ranging from personal enmities to professional jalousies. JIT will probe all possibilities but will not share it with media rather with Judicial Commission. This is a normal routine of investigators to probe all aspects when investigating any criminal case”, sources shared information on the condition of anonymity as they are not authorized to share anything with media.    It may be mentioned that family of Hamid Mir accused chief of the ISI for attacking Hamid Mir in Karachi.
