Jamrud IED blast kills seven, injures two

JAMRUD: A pickup truck was targeted on Wednesday with an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Takhta Baig Khwar area in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency killing seven persons, including two brothers and injuring two others, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 4 April, 2012.

The vehicle was heading to Jamrud bazaar when the explosive device planted by suspected militants hit the pickup truck in Takhta Baig Khwar, sources told Dispatch News Desk (DND).

Tribal sources said that a local supplier of Nato forces was traveling in the pickup truck and this was the reason it came under attack.
