HANGU: At least 22 people were dead while several others sustained critical injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a mosque immediately after Friday prayers in Hangu, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported. Death toll is feared to climb.

District Police Officer Hangu Mian Saeed confirmed that it was a suicide blast, adding that 22 people lost their lives in the attack.

According to initial reports, it was claimed that the bomb was attached with a motorcycle, which was parked outside Faizullah mosque in Hangu. The dead and the inured have been shifted to Civil Hospital.

Soon after the incident security forces reached the scene and cordoned off the area.
