KARACHI: At least four police personnel were killed overnight in a terrorist attack near Bagh Korangi area of the metropolis.

According to sources, police party was on patrol in the area when Sharafi Goth Police Station’s mobile van came under attack near Bagh Korangi in Landhi. At least four police were killed.

The unidentified miscreants targeted the van on a flyover that links Shah Faisal Colony to Korangi. Three men who were critically hurt in the attack, succumbed to injuries while they were being transported to hospital. The fourth one died at hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Zulfiqar, Ghulam Shabbir, Afzal and Aslam.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan condemned the overnight attack on the police personnel. He also called a report from Inspector General of Sindh Police Shahid Nadeem Baloch within next 48 hours.
