KARACHI: At least two people were killed while 35 others including children were injured in two powerful back-to-back blasts which occurred near Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) election office in Azizabad area on Saturday night, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

According to initial reports, the blasts took place near MQM polling office adjacent to Mor Park in Block-8 of Azizabad area in the metropolis.

The sources said that second blast which was also very loud and powerful took place while rescue work was being done in the blast side.

The police and rescue teams have rushed to the blast side and started moving the injured to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital

Security agencies have cordoned off the site.
