Former JI Town Nazim gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: Unidentified armed men shot dead a former Town Nazim belonging to the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Dr Pervez Mehmood and his friend in the North Nazimabad area on Monday night, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 17 September, 2012.

The incident happened near the KDA Chowrangi in North Nazimabad. The JI leader along with his friend was in the North Nazimabad area for some work when attacked by unknown assailants, police said.

They were sitting in their car Z-6767 when they were shot at and injured by armed men riding a motorcycle. Later, the attackers fled the scene. The two injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where during treatment Dr Pervez and his friend Khaliq succumbed to their bullet injuries.
