Five more shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: Five more people were killed including a woman as Karachi once again saw a spate of target killing on Tuesday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

According to reports, in Tuesday morning, men armed with automatic weapons stormed a franchise of an international cellular company, located in North Nazimabad, and opened indiscriminate fire at the staffers, killing one man on the spot and injuring a woman, who succumbed to her wounds on her way to hospital.

In another incident, Captain Dr (retd) Ashfaq Ahmed Qazi was shot down by unidentified assailants near Malir Halt Phatak.

Later, after sundown, two more persons were reportedly killed in separate incidents. Ahmed Khan, reportedly a watchman by profession, was shot dead in the limits of the Garden police station, near the BP Factory, Usmanabad. While Naeem Abbas, a man hailing from Gilgit who had came to Karachi to meet his relatives some two weeks ago, was shot dead in Mughal Hazara Goth, Block-4, Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
