PESHAWAR, Pakistan: At least 30 terrorists were killed when Pakistan military fighter jets pounded their hideouts in the volatile North Waziristan tribal region on Friday.

The security sources said that the fresh aerial strikes were conducted in Shawal area of North Waziristan. They said that several hideouts of terrorist were also destroyed in air strikes.

The air strikes in the tribal region are part of the ongoing massive military operation Zarb-e-Azb. The operation was launched in June 2014 following the cancellation of peace dialogue process with the terror outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
