Eight militants killed in Tirah valley airstrikes

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: At least 21 militants were killed in airstrikes carried out by the security forces on Thursday in parts of Tirah valley of Khyber Agency, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR said that five militant hideouts were destroyed when the fighter jets pounded militant hideouts in Akkakhel and Sipah area.

The airstrikes are part of the ongoing military operation named Zarb-e-Azb, initiated on June 15 against anti-state militants hiding in the tribal areas.
