PESHAWAR: A clash erupted between rival groups during a jirga of tribal elders in Gaidu area of Kurram agency on Wednesday that left at least six persons killed and 13 others injured.

The sources said that a jirga was under way to settle a land dispute when a clash broke out.

The dead and injured were shifted to a hospital by the local people.

Separately, two persons were killed and one injured in firing by terrorists in Bara area of Khyber agency.
