Eight gunned down including 4 ASWJ men in Karachi

KARACHI: Eight people were shot dead including four Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) activists in the city on Monday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 24 September, 2012.

The four ASWJ activists, all of them brothers, were travelling in a car when four men riding on two motorcycles sprayed them with bullets at Disco Morr near Noman Masjid, police said.

A Karachi Port Trust (KPT) officer was shot dead near the Jauhar Chowrangi traffic signal in the evening.  Meanwhile, a man was gunned down and his two brothers injured at their house in Jaffar Tayyar Society, Malir City.

An alleged gangster was also killed in a police encounter in Shanti Nagar in the wee hours of the day. Likewise, a Mazda driver was killed by two men on a motorcycle at his workplace near the Old Duty Free shop on Sharea Faisal.
