Dispatch News Desk Giving Away OPPO Neo 5s

Neo 5s is one of the newer smartphones by OPPO. Worth about 19,990 rupees, Neo 5s is truly a remarkable phone. Here’s our short review of the phone, with a big surprise in the end.

Neo 5s has a 4.5” display, and comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat). KitKat is the latest Android version, after Lollipop of course, and currently runs every App there’s on PlayStore. So if you are one of those App frenzy people, Neo 5s has your back.

An addition to the Android is OPPO’s Color OS, most cheap phones lack a good user interface over the default layer, but not this phone. Version 2.0 of Color OS brings some new features like smart gesture, so you can just draw a letter on your screen and an appropriate App will launch (Draw ‘O’ to open Camera or double tap to wake). It also has a theme store so you can customize all you want.

It has a 8MP main Camera with which you can record up to 720p at 30fps. With LED Flash, auto-focus and face-detection the photos are as good as it gets, the quality is amazing. On top of it there’s a 2 MP front camera, so go crazy with all the selfies you want.

Coming to the more technical part of the phone, it has a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor. 1 GB of RAM. 8GB of internal storage and external SD card compatibility up to 128GB, that’s a lot of storage for such a phone. It also packs a GPU, Adreno 306. These aren’t of course the best specs around but we are looking at a low priced phone and the specification look cool enough.

Like all other phones it has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Hotspot 802.11b/g. It also has a distance sensor, light sensor, G-sensor and an E-Compass. It has 3G and 4G compatibility which makes it great for connectivity. If you are someone who is 24/7 online, this phone is a perfect match.

With so much power in the hood the phone needs a good power hub. It has a built-in 2000mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable). It lasts a full day on high performance usage (Calls, Messaging, browsing over 3G and Wi-Fi) enough to satisfy most users.

Let’s sum things up now that you know what the phone has. Neo 5s is one of the few lost cost phones which offers you a good UI. With both front and a back camera it backs all your multimedia needs. The hardware it provides allows you to play high quality games with minimal lag. And as it comes with 4G you can’t complain about connectivity issues. Its almost a complete package and a gem in the price it comes.

Now, remember we told you that there’s a surprise at the end? Well Surprise, SURPRISE!
