Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said that some political parties including the MQM were being pushed against the wall.
Speaking to media, Sattar said that large rallies could not be held due to ongoing wave of terrorism and there was no option but to close down party offices. He said that six other political parties were running their election campaign freely. He asked whether the people who were at the helm of affairs wanted to hold free and fair election.
Sattar vowed that the MQM would take part in election, as foreign observers including the European Union observers were present in Pakistan. He warned that there would be a great loss if hideouts of terrorists were not removed. The MQM leader said that the MQM always agreed with the electoral reforms suggested by Dr Tahirul Qadri.
