KOHAT: The curfew imposed in Kohat city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was lifted on Wednesday morning; however, section 144 will remain imposed in the city while pillion riding and rallies will also remain banned until further notice, the Kohat administration said.

The curfew was imposed in the city on November 18 after a clash broke out between activists of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and a rival group near Imambargah Said Habib in the Zargaran bazaar area of Kohat district, killing three persons including two policemen and injuring several others. A number of shops in Tirah bazaar were also set ablaze.
