No comparison of Mullah Omar with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
Western Media is comparing Emir of Taliban Mullah Omar with Khalifa of Islamic State. US newspapers are saying that IS is like Taliban in Afghanistan because both were phenomena when they claimed maximum land within minimum time. Both are talking about spread of purist Islam and both came in power by eroding writs of sitting governments.
There are similarities but not as much as western media is trying to find.
IS Khalifa Abu Bakr Baghdadi is a well-educated person having Ph.D. degree while Emir Mullah Omar is virtually an illiterate man.
Mullah Omar never installed or announce caliphate of Islam and his message was only for Pushtun ethnic group for an Islamic state across Afghan-Pakistan border.
While Khalifa Baghdadi has installed Caliphate system for all Muslims of the world
Baghdadi was in jail for three years under US occupation while Mullah Omar had never been gone through such circumstances
Taliban had cordial relations with United States and at one time they were working for US sponsored gas pipeline through Afghanistan while Baghdadi has very stiff relations with US forces since he became a fighter.
Mullah Omar gambled his state for Al-Qaeda while Baghdadi dis-integrated from Al-Qaeda.
Taliban were recognised immediately by Saudi Arabia while IS claims it will erode “US Sponsored House of Saud”.
Mullah Omar always refrains from coming on media or even photographed while Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi looks keen for his coverage.
Taliban prefer Hide and seek tactics even the time they were marching towards Kabul while IS fighters are openly fighting day and nights and do not follow tactics of Hide and Seek.
Taliban took a lot of time to establish proper State –Emirate but IS had homework and instantly established State by releasing passport, announcing policy about nationalities, making identification cards of citizens and issuing number plates of vehicles.
Taliban had no economic system, trade system or financial rules and never provided financial support to citizens of emirates but IS has already started distribution of food among citizens.
It is too early to compare Mullah Omar with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and western media has too limited knowledge about both of them except what they look.
