Bodies of seven abducted miners found in Quetta

QUETTA:  Balochistan Levies found bodies of the seven missing coal miners in Degari area, some 28 kilometres from the provincial capital. The miners were kidnapped on July 7 in the Sorange area, 25 kilometres from Quetta, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 12 July, 2012.

The Chief Inspector of Mines, Iftikhar Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that some passersby spotted the corpses and informed Balochistan Levies. The levies force and local administration rushed to the spot where they found bullet-riddled bodies dumped on the roadside in the hills near Degari coalfields.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) spokesman Jihand Baloch had claimed the kidnapping of the miners.

Five terrorists sent to hell in Balochistan Islamabad, Pakistan: On 18 October 24, security forces conducted a successful intelligence based operation in District Pishin on reported presence of Khwarij (TTP). During the operation, five khwarij were apprehended and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including 3 x Suicide Vests were seized.
