PESHAWAR: A blast went off targeting an electoral office of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) near Peshawar’s Panchgai road area on Saturday morning, the first blast in Peshawar which targeted the office of PTI.

“A time device, which was planted outside the office of PTI in Peshawar was exploded but did not cause any loss of life,” a police official said.

The blast however destroyed the PTI’s election office and a few adjacent shops, police added.

The explosion was heard from far distances and spread fear among residents of neighbouring areas.

According to bomb disposal unit, it was a time device which carried 1.5 to two kilograms of explosive material.

It was the first blast in Peshawar which targeted the office of PTI.

Moreover, PTI chairman Imran Khan will also going to address a public gathering in Peshawar today.
