QUETTA: An explosion took place near the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Chaman area of Balochistan on Monday, injuring at least three persons including two women.
The incident occurred when a bomb planted by unknown militants in a motorcycle parked close to the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Chaman went off.
Ashraf Kakar, a police officer in Chaman, told media that the target of the blast was the deputy commissioner’s office and other nearby offices of law enforcement agencies.
Earlier in the day, at least three persons were killed when unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire at their vehicle on Munir Mengal Road in Quetta.
The assailants sped away on their motorcycles after the attack, while the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for postmortem.
