Blast injures advisor to CM Balochistan in Quetta

QUETTA: An explosion occurred near the Khezai Chowk area of western bypass of Quetta on Saturday, causing injuries to the advisor to the Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Majid Abro, and his guard.

Police said that the bomb was planted on the roadside and as the vehicle of Chief Minister’s advisor passed by, it exploded.

The advisor and his guard were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Following the explosion, frontier crops and police personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area.

In another violent incident, a remote-controlled blast killed two persons in the Notal area of Naseerabad, a sensitive district of Balochistan province.
