ISLAMABAD: Banned outfit Laskar-e-Jhangvi’s (LEJ) death squad chief Masoom Billa has been taken into custody and Bashir Laghari was mastermind of attack on Sindh High Court’s Justice Maqbool Baqar, said the intelligence officials.

The IB officials informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a briefing in Islamabad on Friday that LEJ death squad’s head Masoom Billa has been arrested on their tip and he has revealed that Bashir Laghari was mastermind of attack on Justice Maqbool Baqar in Karachi.

Mastermind Bashir Laghari’s son rendered assistance in attack on Justice Maqbool Baqar, added the IB officials in briefing to the PM.

The informed further that a team of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) raided Bashir Laghari’s residence with help of Sindh police on July 1, and managed to capture him in injured condition but later on he succumbed to injuries.
