ISLAMABAD: When Pakistan was celebrating its independence day on March 23, terrorists were again attacking Pakistan forces in its tribal areas. This time Asia Check Post was attacked resulting death of 17 soldiers. More reports are yet to be released by Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR).

Initial reports confirmed that last night 17 soldiers were killed and seven other were seriously injured when a suicide bomber exploded a explosives laden vehicle near Eisha check post on Mirali Miranshah Road.

The security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation in the proximity but no arrest was reported. Eisha check post is considered as the most important post of North Waziristan which is located just in the middle of the two main cities of North Waziristan
