Nowshehra: The gang chief of the kidnappers of Ali Haider Gilani, the son of former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was arrested during an operation launched by police against abductors here on Friday. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reports

According to police sources, an operation was launched in Charsadda for the recovery of Ali Haider Gilani, which resulted in the arrest of the kidnappers’ gang chief, Wazir Gul, while entering into Mardan from Charsadda and trying to escape to Afghanistan.

Accused Wazir is an Afghan refugee and was wanted by police for being involved in several criminal incidents and he has now been shifted to an unknown place for grilling. According to sources the arrested accused Wazir Gul is the brother of Mullah arrested by police on Thursday from Marhati area of Akora Khattak in Nowshera. Police said that Wazir Gul is running an inter-provincial gang of kidnappers and police is investigating him to find a clue to Gilani’s son.
