RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: An encounter occurred between the security forces and the militants in Fateh Khel area of the North Waziristan tribal region on Tuesday that left at least seven militants killed, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR said that three soldiers were also killed and six others sustained injuries during the encounter which took place during the clear up activity in Mir Ali under the military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan.

The security forces took into custody the dead bodies of the militants.
