DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan: Five policemen and a woman among 15 persons sustained injuries when an explosion occurred near a police mobile van in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday morning.

Police said that police personnel were patrolling as per routine on the Bannu road when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded nearby.

Subsequently, 15 persons including five police personnel and a woman were injured. They were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital.

The police vehicle also got partially damaged in the blast.

Meanwhile, personnel of law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area after arriving at the site. They also initiated an inquiry into the bomb blast.
