RAMADI: At least 28 persons including 25 police personnel were killed when gunmen and suicide bombers driving explosives-laden vehicles launched a wave of coordinated attacks in Iraq’s western province of al-Anbar, officials said on Wednesday.

The attacks which occurred between 10:00 pm and midnight Tuesday also left 26 policemen injured, they said.

No group claimed responsibility for the attacks yet.
