PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Pakistani military fighter jets again conducted aerial strikes in Tirah Valley of Khyber tribal region on Saturday. Strikes and killed 15 terrorists and destroyed four hideouts.
According to official sources of Pakistan Army, terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-i-Islam were targeted in the attacks. The air strikes were carried out a day after a deadly terrorist attack occurred on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Camp in Peshawar’s Badaber area which left 29 people including 22 PAF personnel, three soldiers and four civilians martyred.
Later, the Pakistan army media wing the ‘Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR)’ claimed to have killed all 13 terrorists who attacked the PAF Badaber Camp and said that the attack was planned, controlled and perpetrated from Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, four schools and two colleges around the PAF Badaber Peshawar base have been closed down for 10 days for security reasons. The sources said that the educational institutions will now reopen after Eidul Azha to be celebrated across the country on September 25.
