QUETTA: As many as thirteen employees of Uch Power Plant were kidnapped by armed militants from Naseerabad district of Balochistan province on Wednesday.

The kidnapping occurred when the employees were on their way from Sukkur to Naseerabad as they reached Mangoli area, militants intercepted their vehicle and took them away, a security official told media on condition of anonymity.

The official said that the employees did not put any resistance and the militants easily managed to kidnap them.

The security official further said that the search operation was underway in the troubled area for the kidnapped of workers by the security personnel.
