QUETTA, Pakistan: Unidentified men riding motorcycle hurled a hand grenade near a mini bus stand in Awaran town of Balochistan on Wednesday, leaving at least 11 people wounded.
Police said that the attackers fled the scene after hurling the hand grenade, adding that there was no immediately claim of the responsibility of the attack.
Meanwhile, the rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to hospital where according to doctors, condition of some injured was critical and they have been referred to Karachi.
“We have provided emergency medical aid to the injured, however, condition of some wounded was in danger and they have been referred to Karachi,” a doctor at the District Headquarters Hospital Awaran said.
The blast shattered windowpanes of nearby building and created panic and harassment among people.
The law enforcement agencies cordoned of the entire area and launched search operation to trace the suspects involved in the subversive act.
