10 militants killed in latest military offensive in North Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Pakistan army gunship helicopters pounded militant hideouts in the North Waziristan tribal region, killing at least 10 militants.

In a statement, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that five vehicles of the militants were also demolished in the latest military offensive.

“In a strike on a terrorist hideout, gunship helicopters destroyed five vehicles and one explosive dump,” the ISPR said.

The statement further said that security forces were successfully moving ahead in various parts of North Waziristan.

On September 3, the ISPR said that more than 900 militants have so far been killed in the military operation Zarb-e-Azb which was launched on June 15 in the North Waziristan tribal region.
