Overview
Xiaomi’s Mi Mix Series has always pushed the boundaries of phone screens. Last year when Xiaomi launched the first Mi Mix, everyone was amazed by its bezel-less display and unique idea of a phone. The all new Mi Mix alpha with extreme curved edges has literally stunned everybody. The “surround screen” on the Alpha wraps entirely around the device to the point where it meets the camera module on the other side. The most attracting feature of the Mi mix alpha is that it uses the Samsung’s new 108-megapixel camera sensor, which was co-developed with Xiaomi. There’s also no need for a selfie camera you just turn the phone around and use the rear portion of the display as a viewfinder for the 108 megapixel shooter.
Mi Mix Alpha Price and Specifications
Mi Mix Alpha features an all-screen body, with a ‘surround screen’ being one step above the recent waterfall displays. The screen of the smartphone is entirely made of an OLED panel (4D curved display). Instead of physical buttons it has pressure sensitive buttons.
On the inside of the Mi Mix alpha, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 5G connectivity, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, 40W wired fast-charging, and a 4,050mAh battery. At the back the phone houses triple sensor cameras and the antennas for 5G connectivity. The camera is the most astonishing feature of the phone, Samsung’s new 108-megapixel camera sensor, which was co-developed with Xiaomi (The output images of the 108 MP camera sensor will have a 12032 x 9024 resolution and will be nearly 40 MB in size). The 108 MP sensor is joined by a 20 MP ultra-wide sensor with 117-degree FOV and a 12 MP depth sensor. The phone is fueled by a 4050 mAh nano silicone cathode power cell which is backed by 40W fast charging.
Adding all of these features together, the phone will go into small-scale production this year and go on sale in December for about US$ 2,800 which is around PKR 437,780 lac.
