KARACHI, Pakistan: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) & its subsidiary, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited, Ufone, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with edotco Group (edotco), leading end to end integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, through its local operations edotco Pakistan Private Limited (edotco PK), to enhance the country’s connectivity capabilities.

This will open up collaboration opportunities amongst the parties in the areas of telecommunication infrastructure development. This includes efficient operations and energy management, fabrication as well as modernization of structures and offerings. It will meet the exponential data growth and usage requirement in the country as more users are transitioning from 3G to 4G and beyond.

On this occasion, Moqeem ul Haque, Group Chief Strategy Officer PTCL & Ufone, said, “We see this partnership as a strategic endeavor for all stakeholders and a step in the right direction for the industry. With edotco’s expertise having industry based practices from their footprint across the region and using PTCL & Ufone infrastructure, I am sure it will benefit our end consumers and also pave the way for users to take up digital opportunities.

This partnership also puts Pakistan on a roadmap towards an international infrastructure of telecommunications landscape positioning for 5G era.
