Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited, a subsidiary of Japan-based Suzuki Motor Corporation, has announced that after April 2019, it will no longer by manufacturing Suzuki Mehran, Pakistan’s most favourite economical car.

In its circular issued for Venders and Suppliers on September 5, Pak Suzuki apprised them of its decision of discontinuing of Model SB-308 VXR (Mehran) from April next year and also spelled out its guidelines for them in future perspectives.

In addition to that, the Company also revealed that how many further units are going to be manufactured by April.

As per the circular, a total of 23,821 units of Suzuki Mehran SB-308 VX and SB-308 VXR will be produced from September 2018 to March 2019.

Providing a year-wise breakup, Pak Suzuki informed that in September 2018, 1,558 units of SB-308 Suzuki Mehran VX will be manufactured; in October 2018, 1,558 units; and in November 2018, 1,458 units.

It is worth noting that Pak Suzuki has already notified in July 2018 that Mehran VX Model SB-308 will cease to be manufactured after November this year. However, the production of Mehran SB-308 VXR will continue till March 2019.

In September 2018, 2,661 units of SB-308 Suzuki Mehran VXR will be manufactured; in October 2018, 2,475 units; in November 2018, 1,335 units; in December 2018, 3502; in January 2019, 4,033; in February 2019, 3,325; and in March 2019, 1,916 units will be produced.Pak Suzuki will no longer produce Suzuki Mehran after April 2019
