ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to facilitate customers, enable ease of access and grow its network, Mobicash has announced it shall now be utilizing its 55,000 strong retailer base for registration of new Mobile Accounts.

This first of its kind initiative enables Mobicash to have the largest number of Mobile Account registration locations in Pakistan and would help reduce the divide between the banked and unbanked population of Pakistan.

Furthermore, Mobicash has always promoted branchless banking in the country since our vision is to bridge the prevalent divide between the banked and unbanked population,” the Head of Mobile Financial Services Aniqa Afzal Sandhu explained the thought behind this development by stating.

Mobilink customers can also open a mobile account by dialing *786# from their Bio-metrically verified SIM or by visiting any Mobilink Franchise, Mobilink customer care center or Branch of Waseela Microfinance Bank. Through a Mobicash Mobile Account, customers can avail an array of services like Bill Payment, Money Transfer, ATM Cards, IBFT, Other Mobile Operator Top-ups and others features all through their mobile handsets.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
