Overview

KIA Motors Corporation, commonly known as KIA Motors, is South Korea’s second-largest automobile manufacturer. KIA is a much underrated car manufacturer but it actually produces very good vehicles. After a decade, KIA is stepping back in the local industry of Pakistan with KIA Picanto 2019. The car was reveled at Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) 2019 Karachi where it presented Picanto along with a number of vehicles,   Stinger, Sportage, Nori and Grand Carnival. KIA Picanto is expected to be released in Pakistan in October.

Price and Specifications of the KIA Picanto

The Picanto is equipped with an incline 3-cylinders 1.0 MPI engine, which gives off 998cc, max power is 69/6,200 and max torque is 9.6/3,500. It is a very fuel efficient car providing 23 to 25 KM/LITER. The hatchback comes in 1.0-litre engine mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.2-litre engine which is offered under the optional automatic transmission. The 2nd generation KIA Picanto which was displayed at the PAPS 2019 has a signature compact tiger-nose radiator grille at the front and comes with 14” alloy rims. It will also be equipped with airbags as a basic safety feature but lacks the spare wheel at the back. The hatchback also features power steering, power windows (front), entertainment system and analog climate control.

In a nutshell, KIA picante is an entry level 5-door hatchback with 4-speed automatic gears. KIA Picanto has a 1000cc engine displacement. The Euro-6 compliant 1.0-litre engine produces a maximum output power of 66 hp. It has a wheelbase of 2400 mm which provides optimum control over the car. The expected KIA Picanto price in Pakistan is PKR 1.8 – 1.9 Million or RS. 1,350,000.
